Team Leader Planning & Reporting

Lead the connection between strategy and delivery

We’re looking for a collaborative and capable Team Leader to support the delivery of high‑quality planning, reporting, and performance insights across the organisation.

In this role, you’ll lead a specialist team responsible for the Long‑Term Plan, Annual Plan, business and activity planning, and corporate reporting. You’ll help ensure strong connections between strategy and delivery by coordinating planning processes, improving performance frameworks, and providing clear, timely insights to decision‑makers, elected members, and the public.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders, Finance, and key stakeholders to ensure planning and reporting processes are aligned, well understood, and deliver value. You’ll also support continuous improvement, maintain effective relationships with Audit NZ, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including the Local Government Act 2002.
