Program Overview
Spirit of Our Youth, a division of Taproot Community Support Services, provides culturally based programming, support, and safe home‑based accommodations to First Nations, Metis and Inuit children and youth ages 3‑18. The program empowers youth through trauma‑informed services, cultural teachings and community connections.
Responsibilities
- Oversee youth program staff performance through ongoing feedback, supervision and regular performance reviews.
- Prepare menus and recreation plans.
- Initiate new staff training and orientation.
- Meet with staff for case consultation and youth file reviews.
- Prepare and maintain staff schedules, including holiday requests and leaves of absence.
- Review and approve timesheets; ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Help employees with conflict resolution and address disciplinary matters.
