Job Description
**Role Purpose**
The Team Leader – Credit Control is responsible for independently managing complex, high‑value, or high‑risk portfolios while acting as a subject‑matter expert within the team. The role focuses on delivery of cash targets, credit risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, and governance, while providing informal guidance, mentoring, and escalation support to peers without direct line‑management responsibility.
**Key Accountabilities**
+ Independently manage complex, high‑value credit control portfolios to deliver monthly cash and aging targets
+ Own recovery actions for overdue and high‑risk balances, including escalated and sensitive accounts
+ Act as an escalation and subject‑matter expert for complex collections, disputes, and stakeholder issues
+ Identify and mitigate credit risk, supporting bad debt reviews, provisioning, and audit requirements
+ Ensure compliance with credit policies, SOX controls, and governance standards
