Teaching Assistant

Overview

Woodview School (part of Aspris Children’s Services) is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join our Education team for a September 2026 start.

We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistants who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting children with their work and supporting pupil behaviour while establishing positive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.

Responsibilities

Assist the class teacher in preparing teaching materials and classroom activities.

Support pupils with their academic work and provide one‑to‑one or small group support.

Manage pupil behaviour in class and enforce class rules.

Build and maintain a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
