Job Description

You will be supporting the delivery of Maths and English, vocational qualifications, and enrichment elements to help our students prepare for independence and work experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Tutor to deliver English, Maths, and ICT Functional Skills, GCSE English and Maths resits, and a vocational subject (currently BTEC Work Skills) over four teaching days.
• Assist the Placement and Progression Officer in planning and delivering employability workshops, supporting guest speakers, and providing enrichment activities.
• Provide support to learners on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups, with empathy, respect, and patience, appreciating the challenges students face.
• Contribute to regular student reviews, using the opportunity to build students' self‑belief and confidence.
• Support the tutor in addressing behaviour appropriately, tailored to the situation and the learner.
