GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

The Teaching Assistant supports instructional staff in delivering educational services to students in accordance with New York State Education Department regulations. Under the general supervision of a certified teacher, the Teaching Assistant assists with instruction, supervision, and classroom management to promote a safe and effective learning environment. This position functions in compliance with NYSED regulations governing Teaching Assistants and operates under the direction of a certified teacher at all times.
