Teaching Assistant — Foundations in Digital Culture (MD-UY 2014)

NYU Tandon is seeking a Teaching Assistant for MD-UY 2014: Foundations in Digital Culture , a 4-credit course surveying the historical and critical foundations of digital media art and culture, from Fluxus and net art to VR, bioart, and computational media.

Responsibilities
+ Work closely with lead instructor Ruby Thelot
+ Lead a weekly recitation section (~2 hours/week)
+ Support student learning and discussion of course material
+ Hold limited office hours / be available for student questions as needed
+ No course development or lecture preparation required



Applicants should have:
+ Familiarity with digital/new media art, critical theory, or media studies
+ Comfortable facilitating discussion-based sessions, crits and carrying out grading
+ Prior TA or teaching experience a plus, but not required
