Teaching Assistant - Computer Lab (32.5 hours)

The Niskayuna Central School District is now accepting applications for an anticipated probationary track Teaching Assistant for the 2026/2027 school year.

ASSIGNMENT: Computer Lab; 10 months per year; 32.5 hours per week

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: New York State Teaching Assistant Certification preferred. Exceptional candidates without certification will be considered for employment as a Substitute Teaching Assistant (for a maximum of 40 school days) until certification is obtained. Minimum requirements for certification include:


+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ New York State Assessment of Teaching Assistant Skills (ATAS) test

+ Completion of workshops in: Child Abuse Identification, School Violence, and Dignity for All Students (DASA)
