Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: E-ACT North Birmingham Academy, North Birmingham

Key responsibilities:

• Support teaching and learning in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher.
• Provide targeted one‑to‑one or small‑group intervention to help students progress.
• Assist in planning, preparing and adapting learning resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Support students with additional needs, ensuring access to learning for all.

Pay and hours:

Pay range: SCP 9-17 £23,970.64 - £27,284.70 (FTE £27,254 - £31,022)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks a year.

Qualifications and Skills

• GCSE maths & English minimum of grade 4 or equivalent
• TA1 qualification or relevant experience
• Knowledge of strategies for spelling, reading and number skills
