Teaching Assistant

Overview

We are supporting a local school in Newark that is looking to add a number of Teaching Assistants to their growing team on a 12‑week temp‑to‑perm basis. Pay rate up to £115 per day.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils aged 6‑16 in ability‑based groups of up to 6 students.
• Work as part of a minimum 3‑staff team in each group.
• Assist full‑time educators in lessons and classroom management.
• Help create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

• Resilient, adaptable and creative.
• Thick‑skinned and able to handle challenging pupils.
• Committed to the welfare and safeguarding of pupils.
• Child Protection screening required, including Disclosure and Barring Checks.

Compensation & Length

12‑week teaching contract on a temp‑to‑perm basis, with pay rate up to £115 per day. Availability required: full days.
