System Administrator

**Description**

SAIC is currently hiring for a **System Administrator** in North Charleston, SC.

**Job Duties:**

+ Take full ownership of the day-to-day stability and performance of a dedicated infrastructure stack built on Cisco computing, VMware, and NAS storage.
+ Act as the first responder for hardware and platform-level incidents, applying strong, methodical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues.
+ Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot network components, with a focus on Cisco and Juniper OS, including switches, routers, and VPNs.
+ Work with a high degree of autonomy to manage the health of the hypervisor environment, collaborating with senior engineers when issues require escalation beyond the platform level.
+ Contribute to the administration of hosted services, with an emphasis on supporting and maintaining our Kubernetes (k8s) infrastructure.
