Job Description
The Swing Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various GFL waste collection vehicles, ensuring timely and reliable service across York Region and the GTA. This role requires adaptability, a strong safety mindset, a clean driving record, and solid knowledge of local road networks. The position also demands the physical ability to handle containers, excellent communication skills, and consistent adherence to GFL and legislative safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all GFL Environmental safety policies and procedures and comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and other provincial regulations.
- Safely operate Front-End, Roll-Off, Rear-Load, and Top-Load collection vehicles .
- Cross-train on specialized equipment, including the Crane Container Delivery Truck .
- Service customers in accordance with contractual requirements and municipal schedules. <...
