Surgery - Thoracic Physician

Medicus has partnered with a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska , with an opportunity for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage.

Opportunity Overview:

• Level I Trauma Center
• Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a), specific dates
• Daily Admissions per Provider: 1-4
• Annual Volume: 150 heart cases
• Duties: Hospital rounds on CTS patients, OP and IP consults, OR coverage for cardiac surgery, and some thoracic trauma
• Procedures Required: Standard cardiac surgery, heart cases, ECMO cannulation, aortic dissections, and CABG
• Support Staff: PAs, NPs, RNs, and scrub techs
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• ACLS, BLS, & DEA preferred
• Paid travel & expenses
