One thing makes this Support Worker role a little different. Foyle Community Outreach Service is a specialist deaf service, so here, sign language isn't a nice-to-have - it's how we connect. 

Supporting deaf people is what we do, and sign language is at the heart of everything we do here - not an added extra, but the very foundation of this role.

The people you'll support are BSL and ISL users, and you'll be right there with them for the everyday moments and the big goals, sharing it all in their own language. If you can sign, or you're keen to build on what you've already got, this is a place where that skill sits at the very heart of the job, every single day. 

Don't worry if you don't have those sign language skills, if you're willing to learn, we'll provide the training!
