Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist

Summary The incumbent of this position serves as the Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist with programmatic and supervisory responsibility for the planning, provisioning, requirements determination, distribution, accountability, and ultimate issue of medical consumption, retention, or disposal of medical surgical supplies and equipment used for patient care and research in the NIH Clinical Center. This includes the inpatient and outpatient environments and all ancillary departments. Responsibilities Independently conducts complex requirements analysis for NIH CC customers in order for them to procure required medical surgical supplies considering many factors such as research needs, performance of the products, ability of vendors to deliver timely, storage requirements, shelf life, etc. Advises high level officials on supply requirements and procurement management impacts on the program.
