SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will review work products submitted by subordinates for achievement of assignment objectives and adherence to controlling policies. You will determine and make provisions for the training needs of subordinates. You will ensure that testing prerequisites that affect ship's condition are identified and authorized for accomplishment on the Ship's Plan of the Day (SPOD). You will act as a authoritative source for the senior Shipyard management for major decisions regarding overhaul direction.
