Supervisory Civil Engineer (Hydraulic/Hrdrologic)

Summary Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the DoD. As Chief of the River and Hydrologic Engineering Section you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and advising on hydrologic and river hydraulic projects. Many projects require sophisticated statistical modeling procedures. Results affect the planning, development and/or operation of projects including major multi-million dollar multi-purpose projects, providing flood control, hydro-power, recreation and navigation benefits. Responsibilities Serve as the District's principal expert for hydrologic and river engineering, responsible for defining, clarifying, and setting technical criteria for complex projects. Manage all assigned functions and studies in the areas of hydrology and river hydraulics for both the Portland District and external customers.
