Supervisor Maintenance Signals & Communications Operations

Purpose of the Position

As the Supervisor, Signals & Communications (S&C) Maintenance at CPKC, you will ensure the safe and reliable operation of S&C systems that support the efficient movement of trains and equipment. The role involves conducting electrical and mechanical testing, inspecting and commissioning new installations or system modifications, and providing required data for regulatory affidavit submissions. This position supports the Northern Ontario region, covering the corridor from Cartier to Schrieber.

Position Accountabilities

• Provide safety leadership and promote continuous improvement in workplace safety culture.
• Approve and oversee the commissioning of new or modified S&C communications systems, including voice recorders, narrowband, and data circuits.
• Manage radio systems, including Industry Canada licensing, investigation of radio interference, and day‑to‑day Radio Shop operations.
