Role Overview
This 3‑4 month summer student position supports Resource Management Officers and their administrative teams at Environment Canterbury by monitoring and reporting on water‑use compliance. As part of the role you will develop knowledge of the Resource Management Act and related legislation while collaborating with consent planners, technical experts, and officers from across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and delivery of monitoring projects.
- Produce detailed and methodical reports.
- Carry out desktop compliance monitoring checks.
- Work collaboratively with team members and other summer students.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to real‑world challenges.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safety‑focused workplace.
