Summer 2027 doctor substitutes, specialized medical care

Medical students are invited to work during the summer of 2027 at Mikkeli or Savonlinna hospitals. This role provides valuable experience in a range of specialties and offers a flexible schedule between May and September.

Specialties and Working Period

• Elderly services
• Pulmonology unit
• Surgical unit
• Pediatric unit
• Mental health and addiction services (psychiatry)
• Neurology unit
• Palliative care center
• Internal medicine unit

The required substitute periods range from 1 to 3 months.

Qualifications

• Medical student in at least the fourth year of study and eligible to act as a doctor upon successful completion of the first four years.
• Completion of the clinical course and exam for the specific specialty.
• Proficiency in Finnish (oral and written).
