Substitute Dance Instructor - McFetridge Sports Center

POSITION: Dance Instructor – As needed, P/T Hourly

REPORTS TO: Dance Coordinator


SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, the Substitute Dance Instructor fills in when regularly scheduled instructors are unable to teach, and provides instruction to participants of a variety of ages including early childhood, youth, and/or adults. Particularly, we are looking for a Latin dance sub for the styles of Bachata, Salsa, Latin Rhythms, and Latin Workout.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Instruct scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provides adequate and effective dance skills and lessons
+ Lead the instruction of dance participants, according to the approved lesson plan, in a fun environment while teaching specific dance techniques
+ Maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing environment
