Substation Technician (I,II,III)

**Description**

Under close supervision, must be willing and able to perform the less difficult tasks and assist others in high and low voltage work involved in the construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution conductors, structures, substations, underground systems, and related equipment.



+ Promote reliability and performance of electrical distribution systems

+ Inspecting, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment and devices, analyzing and determining the presence of any adverse conditions

+ Documenting and reporting test results and taking appropriate corrective actions

+ Read blueprints and technical diagrams, test and maintain wiring, controls, and power distribution systems, and inspect and test electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers
