Job Description
Work as a Substation Design Engineer at AltaLink in Calgary, focusing on advanced engineering solutions from 25kV to 500kV in a permanent role.
In this position, you will collaborate with the Manager of Substations Engineering to complete designs for both Capital Replacement & Upgrade (CR&U) projects and custom assignments. You will utilize your understanding of various substation design disciplines to produce accurate and efficient project designs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce engineering scope and design documents for projects
• Design the layout and installation for electrical substations
• Create cost/time estimates and ensure design accuracy
• Support the construction and commissioning process
• Maintain quality by reviewing external contractor designs
