Structural Fitter with Torch-Cutting Experience

Craftsmen Contractors is looking to hire an experienced Structural Fitter with torch cutting experience to work at a barge repair facility in Harahan, LA. The ideal candidates should have experience as a Torch Fitter with gas & oxygen torch experience for cutting and fitting steel for barges. This is an ongoing position for the right candidate. The work schedule is for day shifts working Monday through Friday.

Pay rate is $18.50 to $23.25/hour depending on experience.

Weekly pay by direct deposit.

No per diem is offered.

Job Duties:

• Prepare scrap metal and cut it down to size using an industrial torch.
• Maintaining safety procedures and servicing cutting equipment.
• Use gas or oxygen torch flame-cutting equipment to weld metal to fill holes, build pipelines, and create metal products.
