Responsibilities

+ Design steel decking in accordance with Steel Deck Institute standards.

+ Review and develop engineering tools specific to steel deck.

+ Create roof and floor designs for various projects.

+ Provide engineering direction to detailing, design, sales, and production departments.

+ Interpret contract documents and communicate product design requirements with architects, engineers of record, and fabricators.

+ Design joists and joist girders per Steel Joist Institute standards.
