Structural Design Engineer II

**Position Summary**

Lead, evaluate, design, and engineer projects and systems to specification on projects ranging from new design/build to rehabilitation of existing facilities and systems.  Provide ongoing technical guidance and engineering issue resolution as needed.

**Position Details**

+ Performs more complex modeling, drawings and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection or other systems
+ Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc.
+ Prepares preliminary redline design layouts for estimating
+ May be responsible for a single phase of a project
+ Provides guidance to less experienced engineers
+ Performs on-site field surveys to collect or deliver design and engineering data.
+ Assists in writing technical narratives and responses to RFIs
+ Responsible for Code compliance
