Role OverviewPicture your day starting before the first truck arrives. You verify forms are set to pitch and depth, confirm rebar placement, and prep tools. As concrete hits the forms, you screed true, trowel to a smooth finish, edge clean lines, and broom where specified. You keep the site tight, safe, and moving—whether youre finishing flatwork, shaping curbs and gutters, or completing saw cuts to spec.What Youll DoLevel fresh concrete using wood and aluminum screeds.Finish with hand and power tools: floats, trowels, edgers, and brooms.Set and align forms for sidewalks, curbs/gutters, walls, pillars, and similar structures.Clean and strip forms properly after finishing.Assess and control slump; calculate needs and place orders accordingly.Reinforce with rebar or wire mesh and install expansion joints.Perform saw cutting on concrete and asphalt.Handle physically demanding tasks including shoveling, raking, and heavy lifting.Contribute to heavy highway and other construction operat...
