Street Sweeper / Driver

Apply to join our team as a Streetsweeper/Driver, performing a range of cleansing duties across the Borough.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a 'compact' sweeper (subject to training and appropriate licence).
• Work alone or as part of a team to clean highways and other areas.
• Perform litter picking, manual sweeping and use an 'Orderly Barrow'.
• Drive a 3.5 cwt pickup truck, empty litter bins, remove graffiti and collect and remove fly‑tipping.
• Carry out other general cleansing work as required.

Essential Requirements

• Valid clean driving licence for a 3.5 cwt truck and a precinct mechanical sweeper.
• Willingness to undertake training to operate a sweeper.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks.
