Stream Engineer

Summary:
Tapmad is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Streaming Engineer to manage our video streaming workflows from end to end, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable streaming experiences across platforms through efficient system management and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
•Set up and manage live streams using protocols such as SRT, RTMP, HLS, or MPEG-TS (UDP).
•Operate encoding/transcoding software and hardware (e.g., FFmpeg, OBS, vMix, Wirecast, or Ateme).
•Configure and monitor bitrates, resolution, audio tracks, and adaptive streaming presets.
•Distribute streams via CDN (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai, AWS CloudFront).
•Troubleshoot latency, sync, packet loss, buffering, or audio/video issues during live events.
•Coordinate with production, content, and network teams pre and post-stream.
•Maintain logs and generate performance and error reports after each event.
