Sterilization Technician

**JOB PURPOSE:**

**The Sterilization Tech will support the dentist, and team, in providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work independently, sterilize and maintain instruments, equipment, set up and break down of treatment areas, and providing a clean and professional environment in general spaces**

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

+ Scrubbing, washing, and disinfecting used surgical instruments and equipment to remove biological debris
+ Operating various types of sterilization equipment
+ Carefully assembling and packaging cleaned instruments and supplies using appropriate materials to protect them during storage and transport
+ Tracking supplies, managing the inventory of sterile tools, and ensuring an adequate supply is available to meet the facility's needs

**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:**
