Sterile Services Technical Assistant

Overview

Working from the Broadgreen Hospital site, the role of a sterile services technician is to work as part of a dedicated team providing a critical decontamination service to Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Hours for permanent 1 x weekly alternating shift are: 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm Monday to Friday total of 37.5 hours per week with enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Operate instrument washer disinfectors, sterilisers and undertake manual handling duties.
• Use IT bar code and scanning and labelling systems and scan medical instrument sets through all stages of production.
• Ensure safe, efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly and sterilisation of instruments & equipment within predefined quality standards.
• Ensure operational activities fully comply with all health & safety procedures & guidelines.
