Steamfitter/Pipefitter

Responsibilities

Steamfitters‑Pipefitters work both indoors and outdoors, laying out, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing piping systems that carry steam, water, air, gases, chemicals, solids, and fuel in industrial and manufacturing plants and in water purification and water treatment systems.

Work Environment

Work environments for construction careers can be located outdoors or indoors or both. Work hours may vary as well. Some positions are seasonal while others are full‑time throughout the year, or project‑based with variable hours.
