Position SummaryResponsible for adding material using the inert gas arc welding technique (TIG) in accordance with techniques and instructions established.
The TIG welder is accountable for TIG production of parts based on a programmed schedule and for maintaining the equipment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesObserve the labor practices dictated by the company's code of ethics and internal work regulations.Follow work instructions established in the inspection procedures manual, quality control procedures, and sketches.Check the traveler and perform welds in accordance with procedure and equipment specified on the SK.Use safety equipment (welding mask, gloves, sleeves, smock).
At the end of the operation, transport parts to the next operation.Apply degrease to all parts before welding.Clean and replace filament housing and filament.Clean glass windows and mirrors.Clean the welding chamber to prevent part contamination.Report any equipment malfunction promptly to the mai...
