Staff Network Engineer

ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Staff Network Engineer designs, implements, and operates Waystar’s enterprise network infrastructure with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking and hybrid connectivity. This is a hands-on Staff Individual Contributor role with direct ownership of architecture, implementation, and ongoing operations.
The role serves as a technical authority for scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions across on-premises and cloud environments, partnering closely with Security, Cloud Platform, Operations, and Engineering teams to influence standards and delivery.
This position may support internal and external, client-facing initiatives in collaboration with Professional Services and Outsourcing functions in support of solution delivery and implementation.
The role participates in a week-at-a-time on-call rotation, providing escalation support for complex network issues across on-premises and cloud environments.
