Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations for a company based in New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone who can manage daily financial activities, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a timely month-end close. The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounting experience and a solid understanding of reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and tax-related tasks.

Responsibilities:
• Perform bank account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and update the general ledger by preparing and recording routine and adjusting journal entries.
• Process accounts payable activities, including invoice review, coding, and payment support.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and account analysis.
