Staff Accountant

Description
Our client in Pittsfield, Massachusetts is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is responsible for supporting all aspects of the organization’s accounting function and will work closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely reconciliations, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

+ Maintain the general ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

+ Prepare and enter journal entries

+ Assist the Accounting Manager with the month-end close process

+ Support year-end accounting activities, including:

+ Year-end close

+ Audit preparation

+ Preparation and review of draft financial statements

+ Tax return documentation

+ Federal reporting

+ Prepare financial statements and perform financial analysis as assigned
