Job Description
Full Time Ongoing Position within Central Highlands, based out of the Ballarat Regional Office. The purpose of the SSS team is to assist children and young people facing a range of barriers to learning, and achieve their educational and developmental potential. We do this through the provision of a range of strategies and specialised support with individual, group, school and teams within the Department Area. SSS staff work collaboratively with schools, students and parents to facilitate improved emotional health and wellbeing for students. SSS staff are well placed to:
* build the capability of teachers to deal with issues commonly exhibited by vulnerable students
* provide effective guidance, advice and support to principals to manage and deliver wellbeing strategies
* balance the delivery of assessments, interventions and building capability to manage complex cases.
