Sr Manager, Purchasing (NPI)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Partner with R&D, engineering, and program management teams to understand product requirements and BOM changes.
• Execute sourcing strategies for new components and materials aligned with NPI timelines.
• Act as the procurement lead in NPI project meetings, providing updates on sourcing status, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams to ensure supplier readiness and compliance.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through early supplier involvement and design-to-cost strategies.
• Assess and mitigate supply risks related to new technologies, sole sourcing, or long lead‑time items.
• Support make‑vs‑buy decisions and localization strategies where applicable.
• Ensure accurate and timely creation of purchase orders, supplier documentation, and ERP data setup.
