Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations and help maintain accurate, timely financial reporting in New York, New York. This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable managing close activities, reviewing ledger integrity, and resolving account variances across multiple balance sheet and cash accounts. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a structured accounting environment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly close activities by preparing schedules, coordinating deadlines, and helping ensure financial results are finalized accurately and on time.
• Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation while maintaining consistency with accounting policies and reporting standards.
• Monitor general ledger activity, investigate discrepancies, and keep account balances aligned with underlying transactions.
