Job Summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Specialty Doctor in geriatric medicine on a full‑time basis for a fixed term of 12 months. The post will work into our Parkinsons services, providing clinics as well as supporting our Elderly Assessment Units. The postholder will be required to work flexibly across trust sites and the schedule may change as the service develops.

Main duties of the job

Support provision of the Trust's geriatric medicine service, in conjunction with consultant colleagues, with a specific aim to expand capacity within our Parkinsons and elderly assessment Units.

Be committed to the training and support of junior medical staff, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members within the Trust's older people's services.
