Sheffield Deaf/Hearing Support Service
2 part-time Specialist Teaching Assistants required from 1st September 2026, to work in the Deaf/Hearing Support Service across our integrated resource provisions.
Post 1: 34 hours per week
Post 2 33 ½ hours per week
Both posts are Monday to Friday (term-time only: 39 weeks)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Deaf/Hearing Support Service as a specialist teaching assistant.
The successful applicants will have experience of working with children and young people across the early years, primary and secondary age phases. Experience of working with d/Deaf students would be advantageous.
The work will involve supporting students in mainstream lessons, and one-to-one or small group work.
BSL (British Sign Language) skills are desirable for this post at Level 2 (equivalent qualifications or experience may be considered) commitment to develop BSL skills is essential and ...
