Advising is an essential component of MCC's holistic student supports model that promotes equitable outcomes for students in college completion, transfer, and social and economic mobility. The Student Success Coach is a member of the Student Success and Strategic Initiatives team and is focused on the successful onboarding, retention, and goal attainment of students, with particular emphasis on those students within one of MCC's Schools. In addition, the Student Success Coach is committed to promoting advisement and student engagement functions that help students develop academic and career goals, maintain timely progress through milestone courses, and complete programs of study.
