Special Hull Treatment Mechanic

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Special Hull Treatment Mechanic to help support a federal client. The Special Hull Treatment Mechanic or SHT Mechanic is responsible for the removal and installation of hull treatment systems and non‑metallic coatings on submarines. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and precision in a highly regulated shipyard environment.

Day to Day
 - Report to the shipyard and check in with the Superintendent at 6:00 AM
 - Get daily tasking and safety briefings review work packages, drawings, procedures, and safety requirements related to the submarine hull treatment
 - The bulk of the day will be spent directly on the Submarine performing specialized surface and treatment work including:
  ○ Removal and installation of sonar hull treatment and non‑metallic coatings
  ○ Performing carpentry‑type work, including:
   § Building and removing containments
   § Using hand tools and power tools for fabrication...
