Sonographer (Al Rahba Hospital)

The incumbent will independently or under the supervision of a senior sonographer perform all sonography imaging procedures, analyze output, and report to the supervisor as needed.

• Perform all ultrasound imaging procedures in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Apply detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology to produce images of high diagnostic quality.
• Perform related radiography special procedures as required.
• Evaluate and assess ultrasound images for acceptable quality, appropriateness, and completeness, and advise other staff when necessary.
• Forward images to radiologists for review and reporting.
• Recognize anatomy and pathology in cross‑sectional imaging to optimize scan protocols and liaise with radiologists to arrange further imaging or tests.
• Use all radiology equipment, patient appliances, and aids safely and competently.
