A day in the life of a Software Quality Assurance Developer at Esri Canada

• Executes test cases (manual and automated) based on established test plans to validate product functionality, performance, and usability.
• Participates a range of testing activities, including unit, integration, regression, UI/UX, and user acceptance testing, with guidance from more senior QA resources.
• Records, documents, and tracks defects using Azure DevOps or a similar tool, ensuring issues are clearly described and reproducible.
• Supports defect triage activities by validating fixes and re‑testing resolved issues.
• Assists in the maintenance and enhancement of test cases, test data, and testing documentation.
• Collaborates with developers, QA team members, and implementation teams to clarify requirements and expected system behaviour.
