Software Engineer

Key Duties and Responsibilities Perform software design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management and quality control for scientific and engineering applications. Define system/software requirements and translate customer needs into practical designs. Use Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git and related Agile tools to manage work and collaborate with the team. Identify roadblocks, resolve discrepancies and develop solutions where requirements or approaches are not fully defined. Plan, design, develop, test and deploy solutions that improve performance, maintainability and delivery outcomes. Contribute across front-end/GUI, back-end services, databases and integration APIs. Ensure integration and compliance with applicable client, industry and Defence standards. Maintain software baselines, configuration and technical documentation, adopting new technologies where required.
