Social Worker (EDT)

Role Overview

The Emergency Duty Team is a small bespoke service that responds to emergencies out of hours. Your role will involve working within a small, supportive team of Senior Social Workers, prioritising effectively and making sound judgements in a variety of challenging situations. You will work to a rolling rota which includes weekend and night work.

The rota includes two social workers on shift every weekday evening (one 16:30–00:30, the other 17:00–09:00). On weekends there are two social workers during the day (09:00–21:00 and 11:00–23:00) and a night shift (17:00–09:00) on Saturday and Sunday. The rota is over 7 weeks; you will also have two weeks off in every seven weeks as part of your holiday entitlement.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A full driving licence and willingness to drive
• DBS clearance (Enhanced Adults and Children)
• Completion of the ASYE year (if you qualified after 2012)
