Simulator Technician

The Simulator Technician will be working as part of a small, on-base team at RAF Leeming performing set up activities and essential maintenance to maximize the availability of the Hawk training devices, in support of Joint Squadron aircrew training. They will undertake maintenance on the Full Mission Simulator, Avionic Part Task Trainer and Desk Top Training Devices, along with their associated sub systems. Core Activity Liaise with the QFIs regarding device availability, scheduled maintenance and unscheduled fault resolution. On a daily basis, prepare the Pilot training devices for Customer use and assist with mission specific preparations. Undertake scheduled & unscheduled maintenance to maximize device availability, recording all maintenance activities performed. Perform maintenance in a safe manner in accordance with the documented maintenance & risk procedures.
