Main duties of the job

Simulated patients are trained individuals who portray specific patient roles, enabling health and care students to practise their communication, consultation, and physical examination skills. SPs realistically represent a patients history, personality, physical findings, and emotional responses. These experiences provide a crucial bridge between classroom learning and real clinical practice, allowing students to build confidence and competence in a safe, supported environment.
