Shunter Driver (Code 14) & Workshop Assistant

Key Responsibilities

Shunter Duties

• Safely move trucks, trailers and equipment within the yard
• Ensure correct positioning of vehicles for loading/offloading
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any defects
• Follow all safety procedures and traffic regulations on-site

Workshop Duties

• Assist workshop personnel with basic repair and maintenance tasks
• Keep the workshop clean, organised and safe
• Support with moving vehicles in and out of repair bays
• Handle tools and equipment responsibly

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Code 14 driver’s licence (essential)
• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
• Minimum three (3) years of experience
• Proven experience as a shunter driver or similar role
• Basic mechanical knowledge or experience in a workshop environment will be an advantage
